WebFOCUS Roles

System Administrator - Manages the WebFOCUS Reporting Server, including installation, configuration, system monitoring, data connection integration.

Application Administrator - Ensures the WebFOCUS infrastructure is managed properly for its users. Responsible for user privileges, security, and maintenance.

Application Developer/Report Developer - Creates Info Apps, self-service web applications, and Portal infrastructures; Creates reporting objects for business analysts who use BI Portal; Collaborates with the report developer to schedule reports; Uses either WebFOCUS App Studio, InfoAssist or InfoAssist+.

Report Developer - Develops reports and content for the user community; Uses WebFOCUS App Studio, WebFOCUS App Studio Report Developer, InfoAssist or InfoAssist+.

Business Analyst - Accesses pre-defined reports and graphs in a portal; Can build unique ad hoc queries, schedule report execution, and define report output against previously defined reporting objects, files, and data warehouses; Uses InfoAssist.
