Extended Lab Session is a post Lab environment for 10 hours over 28 days that allows the student access to the course lab and all the work they did in the course. Must be purchased when the course is purchased for an additional $250 (WebFOCUS) & $350 (iWay/Omni-Gen) per student session prior to class.

    How can you report from more than one file and get the results you want, effectively? When joining files does not produce the results you desire, MATCH FILE will allow you to combine data from multiple files in a multitude of ways.

    You will learn how to:

    • Recognize when JOIN will not produce the desired results
    • Build the MATCH FILE syntax utilizing different verbs and sort requirements, while understanding the differences in final report output
    • Understand the advantages and disadvantages of JOIN vs. MATCH
    • Effectively utilize MATCH FILE concepts to achieve desired results with minimum system impact

    Who should take this class:

    Developers of FOCUS and WebFOCUS who need to report on data from more than one file (without JOIN).
